Swiss Vocational Education and Training Adapted for India
SkillSonics enhances competitiveness of customer companies by imparting global level skills to their entry-level and existing technicians. Our vocational courses draw from Swiss content and pedagogy. The Swiss Vocational Education and Training (VET) model produces skilled workers who are considered to be the backbone of thriving economies with global competitiveness.
SkillSonics has forged exclusive partnerships with Swiss organizations – The private industry association of the Swiss Mechanical and Electrical Manufacturing Industries (Swissmem) and Swiss Federal government Institute for Vocational Education and Training (SFIVET), to adapt the Swiss VET model to the Indian context. SkillSonics would empower 1 million Indian technicians to reach international skill levels with Swiss diploma/certificates– by the year 2022.
SkillSonics courses follow dual-track curriculum ending with rigorous assessment. Theory sessions are conducted by teachers; practice sessions and productive assignments are guided by practical instructors. All such trainers (teachers and instructors) are trained and certified to SFIVET methods. Courses are delivered at company workshops and/or training centers.
Since 2009, SkillSonics has trained and certified more than 2500 students, 150 trainers and 20 examiners.
We bring the second edition of our Newsletter with news from SkillSonics and some views on the Skill Development landscape in India.
