SkillSonics has exclusive co-operation partnership agreements with Swissmem (Swiss Mechanical and Electrical Manufacturing Industries) and SFIVET (Swiss Federal institute of Vocational Education and Training) for bringing content and pedagogy of Swiss Vocational training courses to India and Sri Lanka.


The Swiss Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training SFIVET is the Swiss governmental center of competence for research based support in VET development and research pertaining to upper-secondary level (VET) training. It offers nation-wide harmonized basic and continuing training courses in three linguistic regions of Switzerland. These courses are directed at teachers working at VET schools, at company instructors as well as at other VET actors. SFIVET is also mandated by the Swiss Government to train examiners.



Swissmem unites the Swiss engineering, electrical and metal industry and associated technology-oriented sectors. Swissmem represents the concerns of the sector to the government, national and international organizations, representatives of employees and the public. Swissmem is also in charge of curriculum development and apprenticeship training in its sector, and offers to companies numerous practice-oriented services, which help them enhance their ability to compete and meet new challenges successfully.


Capital Goods Skill Council

The Capital Goods Skill Council is a unique initiative to play proactive role and bridge the gap by creating a vibrant eco-system for quality training and skill development for the Capital Goods sector. Capital Goods Skill Council (CGSC) is a Not-for-Profit Organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Council has been promoted by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Department of Heavy industries (DHI), Government of India, with financial support by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The supporting organizations include leading industry and industry associations representing both public and private sector.


National Skill Development corporation

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is a one of its kind, Public Private Partnership in India. NSDC was set up as part of the government’s national skill development mission to fulfill the growing need in India for skilled manpower across sectors. NSDC has now partnered with SkillSonics which provides an industry-led public partnership vocational training model in India, adapted from the highly successful Swiss Vocational Education and Training system. SkillSonics has secured Rs 22.5 crore funding (equity and loan) from NSDC to accelerate its target of training and certifying up to a million engineering technicians by 2022. In India, SkillSonics has also partnered with State Government organizations, industry associations and academia. SkillSonics is expanding through business partnerships and franchise arrangements in specific states and industry clusters.


Mechatronik Schule Winterthur

The Mechatronics School Winterthur MSW is a training company of the city of Winterthur with attached a Vocational School for the technical professions Polymechaniker EFZ, automation engineer EFZ and electronics specialist EFZ. It provides technical assistance in course development and implementation of training programs in national and international projects.


International Congress on Vocational and Professional Education and Training

SkillSonics is an official partner of the Congress that takes place 20 – 22 June 2016 in the city of Winterthur, Switzerland.
